NCAA Championship in Charlottesville

Give it up for Charlottesville! For the eighth year in a row Charlottesville has been chosen as one of the sixteen regional sites for the NCAA Baseball Championship:

With just one week to go before the Regionals en route to the 2014 College World Series, the Virginia Cavaliers will look to rebound from an underwhelming ACC Tournament performance. The NCAA announced tonight the sixteen regional sites for the NCAA Baseball Championship. …

The games kick off this Friday, May 30th, and will run through June 2nd. They will take place in Davenport Field:

“The four teams will play a double-elimination tournament for the right to advance to next week’s Super Regional against the winner of a regional that includes South Carolina, Maryland, Old Dominion and Campbell.” (Read full article.)
